The German artist Metatext has carved out a solid place in the electronic music scene with his “Ghettogeisterbahn.” His eclectic style mix is capable of almost anything: from jazz, hip-hop, dub, disco, and downtempo to techno and material that could have
emerged from a Stockhausen seminar—nothing is off-limits for him. Only overused clichés and party classics are strictly left at the door.
With numerous releases and collaborations with artists like Shkoon, Abarra, Karhua among others, he has gained international recognition. Metatext is known for his hypnotic and memorable tracks, which are released on labels such as Get Physical Music, Kiosk ID, Heimlich, Underyourskin, and more.
Recently, he founded his own label, ASAB, to better realize his artistic vision. His solo album, The Anthropic Principle, was released March 2025 under this label.
